This is why we continue to insist on in-house development and manufacturing in Japan.
The world of microscopes is now flooded with low-cost products from overseas.
To be honest, if we were to compare prices alone, our products might not be the ‘cheapest’ on the market. However, we have chosen to remain committed to ‘in-house development and manufacturing’ within Japan, despite the extra effort and cost involved.
In recent years, we have been receiving an increasing number of enquiries of this sort from our customers.

We actually purchase and test overseas products ourselves for comparison, so we fully understand the concerns our customers have raised. Our top priority is ensuring that customers who purchase our products have no regrets. We focus our manufacturing efforts on product quality (durability) and on the specifications and functions that our customers require.
‘Three checkpoints’ to avoid regret.
1. It is not the ‘numbers’ that matter, but rather ‘delay-free video’.
In reality, many imported cameras feel slightly slower in actual use, even if the frame rate is 60fps in the brochure. Furthermore, due to their design, USB-connected models inevitably suffer from lag, making them unsuitable for tasks that require monitoring the screen.

2. Are the reliability and balance of the ‘internal components’ assured?
The overseas-manufactured OEM and assembled products flooding the market exhibit significant variations in the quality of their internal components, raising serious concerns about their durability. Furthermore, it is of the highest importance that observation equipment features a well-balanced selection and calibration of the ‘lens, lighting and camera’ components.
Saitoh Optics’ Commitment: We carefully select components and fine-tune every detail to ensure the highest possible image quality within a limited budget before bringing our products to market. We take pride in the robustness of our products, which have been used for many years in manufacturing environments with stringent quality standards, including by Denso Corporation.
3. Is it a manufacturer that offers ‘consultations to ensure good viewing’?
Drawing on our extensive knowledge of photography, we offer services such as test shoots in advance to ensure we meet your requirements.
